Back on Track

That’s it, no more wasting time. No more excuses and no more delays. I am determined to start the teaching program in January. In order to do that, I have to pass the Elementary Education Grades K-6 Subject Area test, and I just registered to take the test on November 17th. I ordered the study guide last week, which arrived on Wednesday. Every free second will be spent studying for this test. I’ve put this aside long enough. Had I started school when I first decided to pursue this new career last summer (as in, 2013), I would have been done already. There is no reason why I need to continue to put this dream on hold, this new path starts now!

Have you put aside something you really wanted to do? What was it, and what delayed you?

Get on it, woman! You can do this.

For me… we’re working on it… a move across country… the kid graduates in June and then we feel like we can leave any time. Husband still thinks it’ll be 2 years after graduation, but I’m hoping not.

So we both have goals over the next year then! May they both be met (even though I’ll miss you terribly…but then I’ll have an excuse to go to Alaska!)
