My name is Amanda, and I’m a bad blogger. It has been 27 days since my last post.
(“Hello, Amanda.”)

Everyone always asks me how, with two kids and a full time job, I find time for blogging and social media. I wasn’t sure before, and I’m even less sure now. Time is a scarce commodity lately. Here’s what I have been doing during all this time that I wasn’t blogging:

-Saw Breaking Dawn Part 2. Twice.
-High Tech Mobile Radio Remote event.
-Ran the Latin Music Half Marathon (Rock and Roll Series) – official chip time: 3:15:12, at a 14:54 pace. More on this later, I really want to blog about this experience.
-Turkey Trot 10K on Thanksgiving morning
-Black Thursday Night/Friday shopping
-Brandon’s Honor roll assembly (YAY, kiddo!!)
-Winter 2012 season – Matty is playing soccer and Brandon is playing basketball
-Early birthday celebration at my dad’s house
-My birthday (last Friday. Thank you! I’m 36 going on 15.)
-Birthday trip to Islands of Adventure and Universal
(Oh yeah, and work, homework duty with the boys, and all the usual day to day stuff).

Seems like the next couple of weeks will be just as eventful. It’s halfway through the second week of December and we haven’t decorated for Christmas yet (and the boys’ elf Buddy doesn’t arrive until the house is decorated). My work Christmas Party is this Saturday evening. We are going to a Dolphins game on Sunday. Making Christmas cards hasn’t been more than a fleeting thought. But all I can do is take it one day at a time, right? And if something doesn’t get done, be it a blog post or the dishes or cards don’t get sent out this year, it’s really not the end of the world (unless the world really does end next week as the Mayans predicted). Looking at the list above, all of them involve spending time doing something I love with people I love, and I’d rather look back at those experiences that mean I’m living life than lament what I haven’t gotten around to do.
