Curious George Celebrates Mother’s Day with Latin Flair!

Last week, I received a special advanced screening DVD of the upcoming Curious George Mother’s Day episode. Curious George is a big hit in our house, so I was really excited about having the opportunity to preview this episode with my kids, and introduce you all to George’s new friend Marco.

My screening party package also included two bilingual Curious George books-Curious George at the Baseball Game and Curious George Plants a Seed; a Curious George magnet; a tomato seed packet; an activity booklet; and microwave popcorn.

I invited some friends over to watch the episode, and the kids loved it. That little monkey sure is entertaining!

In this very special episode, Marco plans a surprise Mother’s Day party for his Mami, with a little help from George, his sister, and The Man in the Yellow Hat (who’s name is Ted, according to the 2006 movie, for those of you wondering). There’s lots of Latin flavor infused throughout this episode. The Man in the Yellow Hat goes shopping with Marco’s sister for ingredients to make Mami‘s favorite foods, including black beans and Habanero chiles, and George and Marco make a piñata for the party.

George’s adventures with Marco started today, and run throughout the week, with the Mother’s Day episode airing on Friday morning.
There’s also a Twitter Party celebrating Latina moms on Thursday, May 5th at 1pm EST. More information about the Twitter Party can be found here.

Remember to check your local listings to catch this very special episode. Happy Mother’s Day!

Disclosure: I was provided a Curious George Mother’s Day Surprise screening party kit by PBSKids through Latina Bloggers Connect. All the opinions indicated above are my own.
