the silence is broken

You can blame Twilight, aging and sickness for the quiet around here.
Last Thursday, a former co-worker lent me Twilight. I started it that evening and was finished by Saturday night. I devoured it (pun intended). I read Midnight Sun online between Monday and Tuesday afternoons, and I’ll be starting New Moon this evening. I have plans to go to see the movie with a friend this Saturday. I’ll admit it, I’m hooked.
Some of you know my birthday was on Sunday. Hubby and I spent the earlier part of the day staging the house for company, and the guests began trickling in around 2pm. My grandparents were the first to arrived, followed by my Godmother and uncle, and then my siblings, nephews and niece, and friends and their kids. My house was full of people till about 8pm. Not only did I have a great time, the Dolphins kicked Buffalo butt, 16-3. It was an awesome day.
I left work shortly after noon on Monday as a result of one of my dreaded allergy attacks. I slept from 1:30pm till the kids were dropped off for me at 5:30pm, did homework with Brandon, read Midnight Sun, had dinner once hubby got home, watched Jon and Kate plus 8, and was back to sleep until Tuesday morning. We had dinner at my mom’s last night, and Matty was out of sorts, and a bit warm. Today he woke up with a fever of 101, so he’s at my MIL’s for the day. I feel like I got a relapse of the cold I had last week. I hope all these germs clear up before the weekend.
What have you been up to?
