Financial Juggling

Both hubby and I get paid at the end of this week, and it couldn’t come soon enough. I don’t know how we’ve done it, but we’ve managed to keep ourselves afloat for the last couple of months in spite of facing a financial crisis. Our initial solution was to refinance our home, but both of our mortgage loans, the first mortgage and the HELOC, are at excellent rates and should not be touched. So I had to think outside the box and see what else could be altered. Fortunately, I was able to change our homeowner’s insurance, which decreased our payment to escrow by a good amount, and with my upcoming promotion and hubby’s new job, we’ve kept our heads above water. Thank goodness we don’t have auto loans to worry about, or we’d be waiting at the door for the repo man, ready to offer him a cup of coffee before he drags our cars away!
